  A very helpful checkout operator but a very poor service from the young man on seasonal. Bought a packet by 1 get 1 free but only 1 in store. No offer to locate one or not interested when trading standards mentioned or head office. Obviously not a store that encourages return visits, shame for the checkout staff who bend over backwards.

  Today I visited the store in St Austell to purchase a towel radiator, the aisle that it was in was being restocked and had curtains over each end. I asked if I could go into the aisle just to pick it up (which was in the end and not interfering with the area they were working. I was told abruptly NOT NOW to which I replied 'don't worry I'll buy one elsewhere'. I am a frequent customer in your store and have today spent over £600 so am very upset by the attitude of this particular member of your staff. This is not good customer service and he could easily have asked what we wanted and obtained it for me, as I live quite a drive to the store I will now be going on line to purchase it. I must add that the young lady on the till was very friendly and helpful to me.

  Opened new box of 30 lights yesterday only to find after dressing tree that one blue cover is missing. Can not dismantle tree now and they have none in stock anyway. Spent over an hour trying to get through to B&Q HQ, no matter which button you press it just keeps looping. Local St Austell store just keeps you on hold or ringing other phones.
